About Metronome 999 and the Creator
Metronome 999 is created by Gelareh Naseri. In addition to considering the souunds of a metronome as a signifier of time spans, she considers it as a “layer of music”. Based on her view, Gelareh Naseri created Metronome 999 app, a new style of metronome offering traditional short metronome sounds and other short to long sounds as metronome beat sounds.
Metronome 999 can be used both as a typical metronome (with traditional and short metronome sounds), an unusual metronome (with other short to long sounds), and as a rhythmic accompanist for musicians and music learners. Also, it can be used as a sonic counter for meditative or athletic purposes. For example, it can be set on 20 BPM (20/60 of a minute) on a human voice “Go” sound to signal to the person working out that 3 seconds has passed if they would like to do 20 sit-ups in one minutes, or it can be set on 60 BPM on a “WaterDrop” sound for person doing yoga and willing to count the number of seconds they spend on each yoga exercise. The regular sound pattern that Metronome 999 creates can also be used in any other environment or activity that a regular series of sound would help, either as a timer with a custom sound or a repetitive sound to be listen to consciously or unconsciously. For example, it can be used in medical research purposes if the researchers of the field find it useful.
